Artist Statement
I've always said “my idea of success is a lifestyle that does not require shoes” and I never wear shoes when I paint. I find my inspiration in nature and I want my artwork to feel as though I’m walking barefoot through the world. Casual, yet energized and joyful, my art is my interpretation of the miracle of nature.
I find myself drawn to the intersection of light and color. There is a fleeting moment when light and shadow give rise to a burst of colorful emotion. This intersection becomes the focus of each of my paintings. If I can share that sensation and that moment of joy with someone then I am successful.
